GT&E specials

The management of the GT&E is happy to provide you with some special reports. Below, find our most current offerings:

  • Visit to London
    In early October 2003, we visited the London Transport Museum and took an excursion ride on restored British Pullman coaches.

  • The Little Puffer
    On Aug. 25, 1998, the San Francisco Zoo re-opened its "Little Puffer" small-scale railway, after more than 20 years of being in mothballs. We provide some photos of the runs on the opening day, plus links to other stories and photos.

  • Kyiv transit
    A September 1997 visit to Kyiv, Ukraine (they changed the spelling after declaring independence; you may know it as Kiev) allowed us to take some low-quality pictures of trolley buses, streetcars and the Metro.

  • Railtown 1897
    A May 1996 visit to the historic railway in the Sierra-Nevada foothills provided the opportunity to photograph much of the organization's rolling stock.
