The big pity is that I didn't take a picture of this space before cleaning it out. Imagine about 50 to 75 cardboard boxes of all shapes and conditions and then put an 18-month layer of dust on it all and you might get a small idea.
Note the shelving in the middle here; this had to be raised a bit so that the rails could be at a 36-inch height.
